What is a tax return/self-assessment?
Self-Assessment is a system used by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to collect Income Tax.
Income Tax is often deducted automatically from wages, pensions and savings, known as Pay As You Earn (PAYE). People and businesses with alternative income streams must report them in a Self-Assessment tax return.
How long does it take to submit self assessment?
We can draft your tax return in 48 hours once we have received all your income and expense details. We will then send you an email so you can review the documents and sign it off.
We will check if you are already on our agent account, if you are, all good.
Who must send a Self-assessment tax return
Everybody who is registered as Self-Employed or applied for a UTR, or is in a business partnership, must submit a tax return.
You will not usually need to submit a tax return if your only income is from your wages or pension and you have paid tax by PAYE.
